Cannot Be Shipped To My Home - Nikon Coolpix S8000 Digital Camera Review
The factory does make errors. This is actually my 2nd one I had some water leaking issues with the 1st one and Olympus was very easy to work with in resolving my issue. I finally decided to get it and ended up being very disappointed. The response was way too slow.
I'm so frustrated with this camera. We bought it because we live in a tropical area and go to the beach a couple times a week.
Once I removed and reinserted the battery, the pictures would come out clear again. I was very disappointed and did not even attempt an underwater shot. I'm sure if you take proper care of the camera it will last and not leak. I purchased the 6020 for going on a Disney Bahamas cruise and it worked GREAT! Haven't submerged it (yet) but have used it in a rainstorm with no problems. I bought one of the Tough cameras a few years ago.
This being said, it has broke twice while using it underwater. The screen will say "no connection" when I try to turn it on. I added a 16gig memory card for the video recording aspect and I love it. I can record 5 hours and 50 minutes of 720p on the thing which is way nicer than the Flip that I was looking at. It was in bag that tipped. I am incredibly disappointed in Olympus and this camera. The 'manual' is stored in the camera, which was new to me, but it wasn't difficult to figure out. All in all, I like that better because it saves resources, as well as the added benefit of a 'tutorial' scenario where the user can practice different shooting modes and methods, etc. When I ordered my camera I received it earlier then the estimated time, which is awesome. When I got the camera it came looking great. My last model offers an amazing variety of filters and different shoot modes. In the water is so easy to use and takes amazing pictures.
It tends to drain quickly unless you compromise quality.
I bought this camera for my 11 year old son last year for our trip to Niagara Falls. It seemed very durable and easy to use. I love how the camera is very durable and can be taken underwater. Was a fun and new experience with this camera and I would recommend it to everyone!
